1. Lectures

Double exposure photography refers to merging multiple images. The goal is to make them surreal, emotional, or humorous. They usually feature silhouettes.

Photoshop has a great tilt-shift tool that will transform your photos into soft works of art. If you want to be extra creative, blur one of your photos instead of the entire image. Or blur everything except for one important detail.

How to achieve double exposure:

1. Using the Tilt-Shift Effect

2. Create fake reflection

3. Experiment with simple portraits and
details textured

4. Convert your results to Black &

5. Pick two random photos

7. Make simple objects look fascinating

8. Use Photoshop Blending Modes

2. Instructions & Tasks

Project 2A: Double Exposure (Week 7-8):

  1. Follow the WEEK 7 Tutorial Demo (DOUBLE EXPOSURE) https://youtu.be/y2JuZUhZWZY

  1. Attach the Project 2A: Double Exposure - PART 1 (DOUBLE EXPOSURE FOLLOW TUTORIAL)

  2. Attach the Project 2A: Double Exposure - PART 2 (MY OWN DOUBLE EXPOSURE)

Part 1:

By using clipping mask, I separate the subject from the background, and add the given photos using blending modes. And I erase parts of the subject using the eraser at low  opacity so it blends seamlessly. Then I use the color grading to add the sepia color.

Part 2:

I followed similar steps in part 1, but used my own photo and images of my liking. I separated the subject from the background and erased a lot of parts, and added in the images with different blending modes.

Experience

It was fun experimenting with blending images together because I'm really into surrealism.

Observations

I watched the tutorial the lecturer provided so I learned how to do the task through observing that video.

Findings

I learned that I enjoy photo manipulating and blending images together, it really creates a surreal and beautiful outcome.
