Design #1: “Spy” by Rokas Aleliunas

Description:  This work by Rokas caught my attention by its minimalist yet eye-catching design. The main focus of this piece is the silhouette speaking for itself, while the text is very small and placed at the top and bottom. I especially love how the eyes shaped by the hands distract you from the fact that the person is headless by creating the illusion of a face; noticing the lack of head is an afterthought.

Design #2: Poster for Beyonderground by Ronny Duquenne

Description: The contrast between the greyscale image of the men and the saturated blue deer overlapping is what I loved most about this design; it seems random at first glance, but after looking at it, the images balance each other so well. As well as the text bordering the image making it all balanced out.

Design #3: Designed by Raúl Kokott, Bjoern Wolf, Fons Hickmann

Description: I loved this one because of its composition, and the concept of combining simple modern shapes with classic traditional art; they blend and compliment each other so well.

Experience

In this exercise we were asked to find inspirations or posters that suit our liking. This made me reinstall Pinterest, which I haven't used in a while, so it made me realize how helpful Pinterest is when it comes to inspiring ideas and such.

Observations

While I was browsing through Pinterest, there were lots of pictures that I have gotten inspiration from, and maybe even put use to some of them in future projects.

Findings

I discovered a lot of artists I really enjoyed their works, and that further expands my knowledge to all art styles and artists out there.
